The question most families ask before signing up is not about football. It is how much of the week this is going to take.
Here is the shape of it, so you can decide against something real rather than a guess.
A week in season
Four commitments, and they land in the same places every week:
| Day | What is on |
|---|---|
| Tuesday | Practice |
| Wednesday | Practice |
| Friday | Practice |
| Sunday | Games |
| Mon / Thu / Sat | Clear |
Three practice evenings and one Sunday. Monday, Thursday and Saturday are normally clear.
Practice times differ by division, and they can shift during the season, so your own team’s times come from your coach rather than from this page.
The season, end to end
The playing season is shorter than the calendar suggests. From the first practice to the last Sunday is about twelve weeks.
- February — registration opens online, for every division
- 8 August — equipment handout and weigh-in
- 22 August — first practice, all divisions
- 13 September — first game
- 15 November — the last Sunday of the season
- End of the season — the banquet, and equipment comes back
Between mid-November and the following August there is nothing to attend.
The first week is lighter than you think
Equipment is issued before practices begin, but the first week does not use it. Shorts, a tee shirt and football cleats are all your child needs to start.
The rest of what you supply stays the same all season:
- Football cleats
- Mouthpiece
- Athletic supporter and cup — required at every practice and game
- A water bottle, filled
Everything else — helmet, shoulder pads, practice and game kit, pads and belt — the club issues.
And at the end
Everything the club issues comes back at the end of the season, clean and in good condition. Parents are responsible for replacing anything showing more than normal wear.
If that fits your autumn, registration is open. The full fixture list and the season’s key dates are on the events page.
